OMII-Europe Training
Overview
OMII-Europe training was delivered through courses, workshops and web-based material. The training encompassed:
- An introduction to the standards upon which OMII-Europe components are built.
- Practical introductions to OMII-Europe's components for grid interoperability:
- OGSA-BES, Basic Execution Service
- OGSA-DAI, Data Access and Integration
- OGSA-RUS, for accounting, including for VO resources across grids
- OMII-Europe Gateway, a portal based on GridSphere and the Vine toolkit
- OMII-Europe security, based on VOMS with extensions for SAML
- OMII-Europe repository, from which the project's components and their documentation can be down-loaded. (It is necessary to register as a Repository user.)
- Orientation to one or more of the project's selected middleware stacks (gLite, UNICORE, Globus, CROWN)
- Workshops that allow a deeper exploration of the benefits of deploying OMII-Europe components, tailored to a particular community's interests.
